Stan Humphrey has been a Captain at Southwest Airlines for 19 of his 23 years at the carrier. Prior to that, he spent 2 years at Continental Airlines as a Flight Engineer. Before that, he was a Chief Pilot for a major charter-management company based in Ohio. Over his 28,000+ hours as a pilot, he has been driven to achieve the best he can. Stan has always been devoted to aviation and charitable causes. He is currently the President of the KSMF scholarship fund, dedicated to a Southwest Airlines employee know for her love and devotion to aviation. He is also Board member of the 1850 Lyceum of Galveston, a non-profit event venue, and the Chairman of the Property for the First Lutheran Church of Galveston. In his spare time, you will find him at Scholes field in Galveston giving rides and flying aerobatics in his small biplane, and being of assistance to all aviators. Stan has seen the need to instill the love of flight on young people. His goal is to provide this opportunity to anyone who has the desire.
